Mrs Barrett and Miss Smith have organised many events and activities for the children – thank you.

Since we returned to school in August we have taken part in a number of sporting events and have many more planned.  Those already completed include basketball, football tournament, GALS, cross country and dodgeball. Swimming gala, netball, athletics, LADS, energise, quick-sticks are among those planned for the Spring and Summer term.

Children in year 3 and 4 in Sycamore class have all been involved in the inclusive sports over 6 weeks learning about alternative sports, skills and techniques all of which can be transferred to other sports.

Foundation children do Big Moves every day with a special session on Mondays – developing core body strength.

We have a new club at lunchtime which allows the children to learn new skills and keeps them active.

Skipping is a great success at lunchtime with many children having learnt how to skip or learnt skipping tricks.  Thank you to Poppy for introducing it to the school.  Our Skipathon is in February.

We also run a number of sporting clubs such as dance, football and basketball.

With the installation of our outdoor equipment and footpath we will be introducing daily physical sessions to compliment our outdoor learning ethos.

Children across the school take part in a two hour Forest School session  each week over a term. This term Year 1 and Year 5 will take part.
