Objectives of Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible for free school meals (FSM) and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months. It was introduced in April 2011 and is intended to close the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers.
Our total funding through the Pupil Premium for the financial year 2018-2019 was £7988.40. The funding is used to help provide one-to-one or small group tuition by a qualified teacher, to provide additional teaching assistant support and to support qualifying families with relevant enrichment and residential opportunities.
Resources have included Access to music lessons and sporting opportunities, Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) training and subsequent implementation of groups or 1:1 support where required.
